Jose Mourinho has reopened his war of words with Roberto Mancini ahead of Chelsea’s Champions League clash with Galatasary, reports the Daily Mirror.

Mourinho offered a withering dismissal to the Italian’s claims it was he who built Inter Milan’s treble winning side of 2010.

Mourinho took over at the San Siro from the former Manchester City boss in 2008, and went on to lift the treble of the Champions League, Serie A and the Coppa Italia.

Mancini claims the Portuguese had been the beneficiary of the team he built, a claim the Chelsea manager simply laughed off.

“Mourinho won the Champions League because he took a good team. He took a team that, like Manchester City, I had built, a team that had a strong mentality. When I went to Inter, they played very bad football and we changed this,” Mancini said.

Mourinho responded by saying: “It’s funny, it’s funny. It’s funny because my team in the final had Lucio, Motta, Milito, Eto’o, Pandev and Sneijder.

“From my 11 players, he [Mancini] didn’t work with six of them. So he made a five-a-side team because I played with only five players from his team!”
