Chelsea are ready to launch a summer move for Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Adrien Rabiot after the youngster rejected a new contract offer from the Ligue 1 champions, according to reports from The Metro.

The highly-rated French starlet is already being talked about as one of European football’s next top names after impressing at the Parc des Princes.

However, rumours suggest that he has grown unsettled at the club in recent times.

Rabiot is believed to be concerned that he will not be able to play with the regularity that he needs to build on his potential due to the presence of a number of big name players in the French capital.

Yohan Cabaye arrived in January to add to PSG’s midfield ranks, further threating the 18-year-old’s future.

The Parisians have moved to quell his fears by offering Rabiot a new deal, but the teenager has opted against putting pen to paper.

Now a move away from the club looks likely, with Chelsea first in line to snap him up.

The Blues were linked with the starlet at the turn of the year, and an end of season offer in the region of £8m is now being mooted.

PSG are likely to sell if the player’s stance does not change, but Chelsea may face competition from Arsenal.
