Chelsea winger Florent Malouda has launched a scathing attack on the club for the treatment he has received.

The Frenchman has made just one Premier League appearance this term, after being excluded from their initial 25-man squad.

As well as being axed from first-team duties, he has been forced to train with the club’s U-21 squad.

The Blues are thought to be keen to offload the 32-year-old, whom they feel has no future at Stamford Bridge.

He was linked with a switch to QPR in January and has been the subject of rumoured interest from a number of club’s from various areas of the world.

It has been suggested that he is unwilling to take a pay-cut to leave West London, but Malouda rejected theses claims, hinting that the club are actively seeking to make him appear unprofessional:

“The details I’ll explain when I’m free, but the strategy they use is to make me look like a player seeking substantial compensation.” He is quoted by Sky Sports via French-Guyane.

“It’s petty but more than anything else it makes me smile because it shows how these people regard me.”

The former Lyon man, who signed for Chelsea in 2007, went on to say that their actions are not likely to achieve results and that he is happy to continue to train with the club:

“If you are excluded for one year, it is very, very long. You must be armed mentally.

“All this is done to break me mentally, but in reality it motivates me enormously.”
