Chelsea are planning a £20m summer move for Juventus ace Arturo Vidal, according to reports from The Mirror.

The Chile international is widely considered to be one of the very best all-round midfielders on the planet and has played a key role in the Old Lady’s recent Serie A successes.

This has caught Jose Mourinho attention, with the Blues boss looking to bolster his engine room during the off-season.

A number of Stamford Bridge stars are set to be axed, with the ‘The Special One’ keen to build a side capable of fighting for domestic and continental honours in the coming years.

Vidal, 26, is said to be looking to leave Juve this summer in search of a fresh challenge, and Mourinho is hopeful that he can lure him to west London.

With Ramires on the radar of the Turin giants, there is even potential for a swap deal, with both players valued at similar figures.

Vidal is seen as an ideal partner for Nemanja Matic in what would be one of the fiercest midfield combinations in the Premier League.
