Chelsea have slapped a £32m price tag on Romelu Lukaku’s head after rejecting a loan offer from Juventus for the forward, according to reports from The Metro.

The Belgian star – who has long been compared to Blues idol Didier Drogba – spent last season on loan at Everton, but despite his impressive showings his future at Stamford Bridge is far from clear.

Lukaku and Jose Mourinho’s relationship is understood to be complicated, with the two having given differing explanations for his temporary switch to Merseyside.

As a result a move away from the club has been mooted, which has been intensified in recent weeks with Diego Costa nearing a big money switch to London.

But despite the situation, Chelsea are demanding £32m to let the 21-year-old go.

Reports suggest that a loan move with a view to a full deal was submitted by Juve, but the Premier League giants have dismissed this and put a massive price on their youngster.

Lukaku himself has suggested that his future will be clarified after the World Cup, with Everton and Tottenham also interested in him.
