Chelsea captain John Terry is not interested in making himself available for England selection, according to talkSPORT.

Terry has been outstanding in the heart of the Chelsea defence this season, and has been a Premier League ever present under Jose Mourinho.

His form has seen a number of calls for him to come out of international retirement in time for the summer’s World Cup.

Terry called time on his international career back in September 2012, claiming his position had become ‘untenable’ after being charged by the FA with using racist language towards QPR defender Anton Ferdinand – the brother of his frequent central defensive partner Rio.

Former England players such as Ray Wilkins, Ledley King, and Steve Howey have all urged the 33-year-old to reconsider his decision ahead of the summer’s tournament.

Hodgson has a limited number of centre back choices, and Terry and his club teammate Gary Cahill have formed an excellent partnership at Premier League level.
