Marko Marin is ready to call time on his Chelsea career this summer and make his loan move to Sevilla a permanent one.

The German international left the Blues to join the La Liga side on a season-long basis last year in search of regular playing time.

Marin only signed for Chelsea in 2012 from Werder Bremen, but always struggled for a spot in the first XI due to the presence of a number of other established and costly stars.

With the likes of Oscar, Eden Hazard and Willian having performed well this season, the 24-year-old looks unlikely to have much a future at Stamford Bridge – especially when the amount of wingers owned by the Londoners who are currently out on loan is taken into consideration.

With Marin having been an important player at Sevilla, the pacey wide-man says that he is open to staying at the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan beyond the summer:

“If both Sevilla and me are happy to stay I can stay here forever,” he si quoted by the Daily Star.

“We’ll see what happens in the summer. The first is to play, being fit and helping the team in the end of the season and then we will decide.

“If the fans want, Monchi (the sporting director) wants and the coach wants, why not?” Marin added.

“But the most important thing is to be fit and play.

“Speaking about a permanent move before that is not worthy because I can’t help the team if I do not play.”
