Chelsea are ready to take on Manchester United and Barcelona in the race for Colombian wide-man Juan Cuadrado, according to reports from The Metro.

The Fiorentina ace is expected to be on the move for around £35m this summer after emerging as one of Serie A’s top talents last term and impressing at the World Cup.

Barca and United have been mooted as the favourites for his signature for some time, but now it has emerged that Chelsea are also in the hunt.

La Viola have told the player that if his valuation is met he can leave, and the Blues are confident that their position has been strengthened by Marko Marin’s switch from London to Florence.

Jose Mourinho has suggested that his business for this transfer window is done, but he has since moved to snap up Didier Drogba and has been linked with a move for Mehdi Benatia.

Cuadrado has thrived since being moved into an advanced role on the right flank, but he can also operate at full-back.
