Let&#039;s not make the mistake of painting Benitez as the victim. He could have apologised for his comments about the club, its players and the fans as people can accept that things can be said in the heat of the moment.

But he didn&#039;t. He continued to display an arrogance that has made the situation ten times worse.

The fans warned the board not to appoint him and so far they&#039;ve been vindicated.]]></description>
