Italian giants Inter Milan are set to make a move for Chelsea forward Demba Ba in the January transfer window, according to the Daily Mirror.

Ba is set to leave Stamford Bridge after failing to become first choice under Jose Mourinho this season; however a reported move to Arsenal on loan has yet to be discussed.

The Senegalese forward was impressive at both West Ham and Newcastle before his move to Chelsea last January and so a list of clubs, including those two former sides, are set to make moves for Ba in the New Year.

Ba will be looking for a way out of Chelsea, especially with Mourinho eyeing a new striker, but a move to Inter Milan or Arsenal have yet to be discussed.

“People talk a lot about me joining Arsenal,” Ba said.

“But there has never been an approach from them. There is nothing going on in this regard.

“Things are OK for me at the moment.

“It’s working, as the situation is turning around for me here bit by bit.

“I am getting more time on the pitch as a result of the injuries to our strikers Samuel Eto’o and Fernando Torres.”
