Chelsea veteran Frank Lampard, but suggested any move may be some time away.

The 34-year-old is expected to leave Stamford Bridge this summer, as the Premier League club look to impose a youthful philosophy.

Although he is far from short of options, Claudio Ranieri, who coached Lampard during his spell in London, is confident that he can lure the player to the Mediterranean coast

When asked about their interest in the goal scoring midfielder by L’Equipe, an official Monaco spokesperson said: “there is nothing concrete.”

Lampard will be free to discuss a potential move with the French club in January, with his contract set to expire at the end of the current season.

Despite dropping into Ligue 2, the second tier of football in France, Monaco are thought to have the financial muscle to tempt the England international, who is believed to be earning in excess of £150,000-per-week.

A number of Chinese teams, including Shanghai Shenhua, the new team of former Chelsea stars Didier Drogba and Nicolas Anelka, are confident that a lucrativeg contract can tempt Lampard to move to Asia.

It is also thought that MLS giants LA Galaxy and New York Red Bulls are keen on the ex-West ham man who could boost their reputation in England.
