Chelsea, but insisted that he’s “flattered” by the interest.

The Bosnian international has been linked with the Premier League club in recent times, with some suggesting he could be the long-term replacement for Frank Lampard, who is set to leave at the end of the season.

Pjanic has been impressive for the Serie A club since his 2011 move, and has been likened to the England international due to his ability to weigh in with goals from midfield.

Despite being happy to be connected with Chelsea, the 22-year-old insisted that he will not be leaving Roma any time soon:

“I am flattered to be linked with a team such as Chelsea, a European Cup winner, but I have a contract here at Roma.” He is quoted by SkySports.

“Could I replace Frank Lampard? He is a legend there. He has done so much for the club and I hope to achieve such feats myself one day.”

Reports suggest that the Rome club would accept a bid in region of £12m for the playmaker in January.

Pjanic began his senior career with Ligue 1 outfit Metz, before switching to Lyon in 2008.

He earned a reputation as a set-piece expert during his time with the club, and moved to Roma for an estimated £9m last year.
