Chelsea manager Roberto Di Matteo insists he is not thinking about speculation surrounding his future at the club.

The Blues take on Juventus this week in the Champions League, knowing that only a win in Turin will keep their hopes of making the knockout stages in their own hands.

It has been speculated that club owner Roman Abramovich may axe the Italian if the defending champions fail to advance from Group E.

However, Di Matteo insists he is not worried by the Russian’s notoriously itchy trigger finger and is concentrating on their imminent challenge:

“I’m not thinking about that (speculation). I’m preparing for the game and the team for Tuesday, and have important decisions to make about that.” He is quoted by SkySports.

“We are very confident we can have a good game and, hopefully, a good result.”

He also believes the squad will put the memory of their weekend loss to West Brom behind them:

“It’s important that we communicate with each other, and the players express themselves. I’ve always encouraged that.

“They need to have belief in themselves, and that’s the most important aspect.

“We work together and, at the moment, we’re all in it together and believe we have a good group, a good team, and are pulling together.”

Ex-Barcelona manager Pep Guardiola has been heavily linked with a switch to Chelsea should Di Matteo leave.

The truth of the mata is that the present CFC team lack a decent striker both Toress and Sturridge are not good enough.Sturridge is even a biger liability because he can’t keep possession and as such pile pressure on defence. It is stupid for anyone to want RDM sacked when he doing a fine job for the team.KTBFFH
