The January transfer window is well under way and Chelsea look set to be one of the Premier League‘s busiest clubs; the Blues are reportedly moments away from securing the signing of Benfica’s Nemanja Matic, and they’re also hot on the heels of Inter Milan’s Fredy Guarin.

But the winter window is known for its absurdities, booby-trap price-tags  and ridiculous valuations for incredibly average players, something the Stamford Bridge faithful will be well aware of following their 2011 January capture of £50million flop Fernando Torres.

So to make sure the Premier League title-hopefuls don’t make the same mistake twice, here’s SIX transfer targets that won’t cut the mustard in West London and should therefore be avoided at all costs by Jose Mourinho.
