Tom Ince has suggested that he may make his loan move to Crystal Palace a permanent one at the end of the season.

The England U-21 star completed a temporary switch to Selhurst Park on transfer deadline day, rejecting rumoured interest from the likes of Liverpool.

With his contract at Blackpool due to expire in less than six months’ time, it appears unlikely that the wide-man will return to Bloomfield Road, with a full-time move to the Premier League almost a foregone conclusion.

His father, Paul, has already hinted that Palace may be a stepping-stone for his son, and that he feels a big transfer will happen in the not too distant future.

Some have speculated that he may look for such a deal in the summer, but Ince says that he could stay in South London beyond the end of the season:

“Steve Parish was great and worked ever so hard to get the deal over the line,” he is quoted by the Daily Mail.

“The Blackpool chairman is not the easiest guy to work with and Steve worked his magic. I am thankful for that.

“As a young player, you always want to play at the top level but my dad and I sat down, and it’s all about timing and planning.

“It got to the stage where I thought now is the right time to go and play in the Premier League.

“If, in the summer, I stay on, then I’ve had that three months or so learning what the Premier League is like.

“It’s all a bit new to me but at the same time I’m really excited to get going.

“If Palace like what they see from me then we’ll sit down in the summer and see what’s available.”
