Crystal Palace manager Tony Pulis is keen to complete a January loan deal to bring Wilfried Zaha back to the club from Manchester United, according to reports from The Mirror.

The England international only completed his long-awaited move to Old Trafford from Selhurst Park over the summer, but has failed to make any sort of impact for David Moyes’ side this season.

As a result, the Scot is believed to be ready to let his starlet leave the club on loan to gain experience this month, which has alerted Pulis.

The Eagles boss is believed to have funds at his disposal to complete a range of deals in the coming weeks after helping the South London club move up the table since taking over from Ian Holloway.

A creative wide-man is seen as a priority, with Zaha the ideal candidate.

The player himself may be keen to complete an emotional return to the club, after graduating from their youth set-up before helping them achieve promotion via the play-offs last season.

Newcastle and Cardiff were thought to be leading the race for the 21-year-old, but the Magpies are believed to be chasing other targets, while the dismay off of the field in South Wales may rule the Bluebirds out.
