Everton, Swansea and Southampton are all watching out-of-favour Manchester City midfielder Abdisalam Ibrahim, according to reports from the Daily Mail.

The Norwegian ace has been told that he can leave the Etihad Stadium next month, but it will take a £250,000 compensation fee for any club to snap up his signature.

Ibrahim – who was once hailed as the ‘new Patrick Vieira’ – has spent 2013 on loan in his homeland, only returning to England recently.

The 22-year-old is already wanted by a host of clubs from across Europe, but Swansea, Southampton and Everton are ready to offer him a Premier League lifeline.

All three sides are attracted to his physicality and raw potential, and are confident that, if given the correct platform, he can be a success.

Ibrahim was tipped to have a bright future at City, but his chances of making the grade at the Etihad Stadium now appear to be slim.

The player himself is believed to be ready to move on, and could be tempted by the chance to prove himself in English football.

As well as Swansea, Everton and Southampton, Championship duo QPR and Reading are keen, and could offer him a greater level of first-team action.
