Everton are close to finalising a £4million deal for Bosnia international Muhamed Besic, according to MirrorFootball.

Toffees boss Roberto Martinez has spent weeks trying to hammer out a complicated deal for the midfielder and looks to have finally got his man.

Besic walked out on Hamberg to sign for Hungarian side Ferencvaros two years ago, which has now caused a row over agents’ fees and sell-on deals involved in his move to Goodison Park.

But the energetic midfielder has been given the green light to travel to England today to thrash out personal terms with the club.

Besic impressed for Bosnia in last month’s World Cup and has turned down of advances from several other clubs across Europe this summer.

The midfielder has scored once in 47 league outings for Ferencvaros since joining them in 2012.
