Everton fans know that when it comes to the transfer window, the likelihood is more players will depart Goodison Park than arrive. A key name is always linked to teams elsewhere, and rarely is a superstar acquired.

Unfortunately, chairman Bill Kenwright is not famous for his generosity, and this has caused despair to the supporters of a club who are always on the cusp of Champions League football, yet continuously fall just shy.

While they may hope life on Football Manager 2013 would perk them up, they will be greeted with a measly transfer budget of £2,000,000, and that is if you tell Mr Kenwright you believe a top four finish in the Premier League is within reach.

However, the kitty can be drastically improved by selling the likes of Leighton Baines and Marouane Fellaini.

While this may seem like a gargantuan loss, with Baines departing for £18,000,000 and Fellaini for £25,000,000, you will see the budget soar to £32,000,000. This creates an ability to spend big money on that influential midfielder, and to fork out for that rising youngster.
