Nikica Jelavic could do no wrong when he initially signed for Everton on January 31, 2012.

The Croatian international was seen as a steal at £5 million and he had the midas touch in front of goal, providing the attacking spark the side was missing.

Last campaign painted a different picture and Jelavic was frustrated in front of goal and could not continue his good form many expected him to.

There is still an undoubted talent there but Romelu Lukaku is now the top dog in town and is taking the limelight.

Jelavic knows he has to be patient in his quest to shine once more, but knows on World Cup year his boss Roberto Martinez will give his man the chance to help the Toffees once more.

The former Wigan boss has also said that there is room for two strikers at Everton leaving a starting space for either Arouna Kone or Nikica Jelavic. There isn’t space for all three though as two is company and three’s a crowd.
