Fulham boss Martin Jol has denied that he will make a loan bid for Manchester United winger Wilfried Zaha in January, ESPN has reported.

The Cottagers have been one of several sides rumoured to be interested in the England Under-21 international, who despite an impressive pre-season has so far been unable to force himself into United’s first XI.

Speculation has been mounting for some time that Zaha could be loaned out in order to garner more first-team experience, but Jol has been quick to dissociate his side from any potential bid, saying: “I feel that on the flank, we are OK. We’ve got five or six…a few options.”

A temporary stint away from Old Trafford does appear to be on for the youngster, though, with Newcastle, Southampton and former club Crystal Palace all thought to be interested, while the Daily Star claims Italian giants Juventus are also keeping tabs on the the 20-year-old.
