Hull City has identified Norwich City winger Robert Snodgrass as their top transfer target this summer, according to the Hull Daily Mail.

Hull manager Steve Bruce is looking to revamp his squad to aid what could be another difficult season in both the Premier League and Europa League, and Snodgrass is reportedly just one of five players Bruce is targeting.

Snodgrass is expected to command a £4m bid from Norwich, as the side is worried about letting the 26-year-old leave after this upcoming season when his contract expires. In January, Celtic was told Snodgrass’ services would cost them a £6m transfer fee.

Bruce views Snodgrass as an attacking threat capable of playing on either side of the pitch. Snodgrass finished last season strong, scoring five goals in his last 14 games of the season, a finish that Bruce certainly noticed.

If they are able to complete the transfer, Snodgrass figures to compete with Ahmed Elmohamady and Robbie Brady for playing time on the flank for the Tigers.

The Tigers are looking to improve upon a season that saw them finish 16th in the Premier League, despite reaching the final of the FA Cup and nearly defeating heavily favoured Arsenal at Wembley.

Other clubs that have been linked to Snodgrass this summer include West Ham United, Newcastle United and Celtic.

Since joining Norwich in 2012, Snodgrass has made 67 Premier League appearances.
