Liverpool and Everton are keeping tabs on Levante goalkeeper Keylor Navas, according to the Daily Mirror.

The 27-year-old has enjoyed a fantastic season in La Liga, and his club are ready to cash in for around £8million in the summer, as he enters the final year of his contract.

Navas will have a chance to impress on the biggest stage of all, as he is set to go to the summer’s World Cup as Costa Rica’s number one goalkeeper.

Both Merseyside giants have been keeping tabs on his performances, and may well be tempted to launch a summer bid should Navas enjoy a successful tournament in Brazil.

There has also been interest from other La Liga clubs, with Sevilla and Atletico Madrid reportedly showing an interest.

All four clubs have been getting rave reviews on Navas’ performances from their scouts, but it remains to be seen where he may end up.

Atletico Madrid may find themselves in most desperate need of a goalkeeper, as reports suggest Thibaut Courtois will return to Chelsea at the end of the season after three seasons on loan at the Vicente Calderon.

Former Derby, West Ham and Manchester City striker Paulo Wanchope recently said of his international compatriot: “Keylor would be a hit in England because of his quality.”
