Liverpool and Arsenal target Mathieu Valbuena has revealed that he may consider a summer move away from Marseille.

The Reds and the Gunners have been heavily linked with swoops for the impish playmaker in recent weeks, amid rumours that he is considering calling time on his spell in the south of France.

January swoops have been mooted, but it is believed that the Ligue 1 giants are not open to letting their midfield maestro exit as they battle to break into the Champions League.

Valbuena says that he is fully committed to Marseille at the moment, but that a transfer to another country would tempt him:

“A departure? To discover something else next season could be interesting,” he is quoted by The Metro.

“My goal is to make a great second half of the season in the club and make a great World Cup.

“It’s been eight years since I am here at l’OM. I’ve never hidden that an experience abroad tempts me. We’ll see.”

The 29-year-old midfielder has long been hailed as one of French football’s top talents, and is expected to represent Les Bleus at the World Cup later this year.
