For every Ryan Giggs there has to be at least 10 well travelled footballers who just can’t remain at one club for any significant period of time.

Instead of staying at one club for their entire career, they end up turning out for several clubs in a number of divisions and, in some cases, in several different countries.

But who are the players who are well travelled but also regarded as popular fixtures in the English game? Some have etched their names in to Premier League folklore, other players haven’t achieved a great deal but still manage to play at the highest level, while there’s always one that just refuses to call it a day beyond their 40th birthday.
