Liverpool have momentum on their side following a good opening day win against Stoke and the power shifting in their favour in the Luis Suarez transfer saga.

The club, for now, seem to have the final say on whether the player moves, and likely for how much too. But should Suarez be sold, Liverpool will not shy away from reinvesting. The team is short in one or two areas of notable quality, and while much of the summer as been spent with the Suarez story looming large overhead, the club have done well to recruit players who will add a lot, both in the immediate future and years from now.

Much of the same will be needed, and following the arrival of Aly Cissokho on loan from Valencia, you feel there will be one or two more arrivals of note this summer at Anfield.
