AC Milan are ready to steal Liverpool youngster Suso next summer, according to Italian gossip guru Gianluca Di Marzio.

The Serie A giants made late attempts to land the Spaniard on loan before the recent transfer deadline passed, but their efforts were unsuccessful.

Yet that has not deterred them, with rumours suggesting that they’re confident of tying up a deal next summer.

Suso, 20, is now in the last year of his contract at Anfield, and with just 20 first team appearances to his name since 2012 debut his role at the club is unclear.

Milan are ready to offer him an escape route in a transfer worth around £2m.

Although his deal will run out on a year’s time, the Rossoneri will be eligible to pay a compensation fee due to the playmaker’s age to cover Liverpool’s part in his development.

Suso has shown a willingness to stay and battle for his future on Merseyside, but with the likes of Raheem Sterling, Lazar Markovic, Adam Lallana and a host of other stars ahead of him in the pecking order, his stance may alter in 2015.

The youngster spent last season on loan in his homeland, where he fired three goals for Almeria as they narrowly avoided relegation from La Liga.

Suso signed for the Reds in 2010 from Cadiz while compatriot Rafael Benitez was in charge of the club.
