Victor Moses has revealed that he will be returning to Chelsea when his loan stint at Liverpool ends this summer.

The Nigerian winger has spent the season at Anfield after leaving the west London club in search of regular first-team action.

Despite him having only made 18 appearances in the Premier League, there have been some rumours that Brendan Rodgers may consider a permanent swoop for the 23-year-old has he plans for a season in the Champions League next term.

However Moses says that he will be going back to Chelsea in a few months’ time:

“I’m a Chelsea player. I came to Liverpool to do a professional job for them but I’m going back to Chelsea at the end of the season to try and fight for my spot.” He told Sky Sports.

Liverpool currently lead Moses’ parent club by five points at the top of the Premier League table and know that if they beat the Blues at Anfield this weekend they can take a giant step towards the title.

Although he is technically a Chelsea player, the wide-man says stat he is desperate to help the Merseysiders get over the line:

“Everyone’s ready to go because we know how important the last four games are for us. We just need to win as many games as we can to win the Premier League.

“I can’t say it’s in the bag but with the kind of players we’ve got, we’re just going to work hard together as a team and hope for the best at the end of the season.

“We’re all gelling together and working hard as a team, which is the most important thing. In the training sessions, everyone is at it to make sure we win every single game.”
