Brendan Rodgers says that he’s expecting the majority of his Liverpool side’s transfer business to revolve around exits rather than arrivals before the deadline passes on Monday night.

The Reds have been one of the Premier League’s most active sides in the transfer window of late, signing nine first-team players worth over £100m while letting their top scorer from last season, Luis Suarez, leave.

Despite the vast numbers having been drafted in, there has been talk in recent days that one or even two more players could switch to Anfield, with goalkeeper Alex McCarthy and midfielder Alex Song the subjects of speculation.

However, Rodgers is thinking more about sales than buys as the clock ticks towards the deadline:

“There’ll probably be more movement out than coming in, I would say.” He is quoted by The Mirror.

“We’ve still got offers for players to go. Every player here knows their situation, so if they’re here after that deadline on Monday then they’ve decided to stay but their game time will be very limited.

“At this moment in time, there are not many more to come in, if any.”

Daniel Agger, Lucas and Fabio Borini are the big names players expected to be sold, with interest in the trio thought to be high.

Sebastian Coates could also leave, while young players may be free to head away from Merseyside on loan.
