The Liverpool versus Manchester City game was an exciting one to watch for all football enthusiasts, but being a player taking part, it was pure concentration with piles of pressure mounting on their shoulders. Martin Skrtel shows viewers how to get pumped up for such an occasion.

Skrtel comes out of the locker rooms during the second half and begins to hit himself in the face in order to remind him keep focus on the task at hand. Clearly a few slaps to the face and some rallying cries was enough to keep his head in the game.

With the scoreline ending with a narrow 3-2 victory for Liverpool, the slaps did just the trick, even thought the Slovakian and his teammates lost two goals during the second half. Watch his interesting motivational method below.
