I entirely agree James. Liverpool fans believe they have a side good enough to be in the top four, and although other areas also need addressing, they should really get a pair of top four centre-backs if they want to make it into the Champions Leagues. It’s not about what defenders do well, its about what they can’t do well and the mistakes they make. And these two quite frankly are about as bog standard as they come in my opinion. Yes they do simple things well, but they also make simple mistakes. Id rather have any other top four contender’s centre-back pairings, and I’m very glad someone has finally pointed out that Skrtl and Agger are both extremely over-rated. Bog Standard.
