Liverpool are ’1000%’ to return with a fresh summer offer for Yevhan Konoplyanka, and are likely to succeed, according to his club side Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk.

The Reds failed with a deadline day swoop for the Ukrainian ace, with the clock preventing them from securing his signature.

Despite having agreed personal terms with the 24-year-old and processed a medical, a rumoured release clause-triggering offer was not processed in time to beat the deadline.

There has been a little ill-feeling after the botched dealings, with some speculation suggesting that Liverpool will not re-visit Dnipro after their controversial owner refused to sign the paperwork, even though he was given time to do so.

However, the Eastern European outfit believe that Brendan Rodgers’ side will make a fresh offer, and that they are likely to triumph in their pursuit of Konoplyanka:

“There was no time to organize the technical transfer in the summer,” Dnipro’s chief director Andriy Rusol is quoted by The Metro.

“Yevhen’s all ahead now. If he continues to train the same and play the way he plays, it’s just a matter of time before he moves to a good European club.

“I’m 1000% sure that Liverpool will attempt to buy Yevhen again in the summer. And, after this experience, the dealings will be more organised, and more likely to success.

“If they had come a little earlier things would have been different.”

Liverpool may launch a new offer in the region of £16m, but they are set to face competition from Tottenham.
