Fabio Borini is already planning his move away from Liverpool in January, with reports from Corriere dello Sport claiming that he has his heart set on joining Inter Milan.

The Italy international came close to leaving the Reds on transfer deadline day, but a proposed £10m switch to QPR collapsed due to his mammoth wage demands – rumoured to be close to £100,000-per-week.

Borini also rejected Sunderland, despite Liverpool having accepted an offer from the side who loaned him last season.

Now the 23-year-old is set to play fourth choice in Brendan Rodgers’ forward line set-up, behind Daniel Sturridge and new pair Mario Balotelli and Rickie Lambert.

It is claimed that Borini has elected to warm the bench at Anfield in a bid to ensure that he gets a big move to Inter in January, with the Serie A side interested in him.

A loan with a view to a permanent deal may be on the cards, with the Italians likely to pursue such an avenue given Liverpool desire to offload the hit-man.
