Raheem Sterling believes that he has had the two of the best possible players to learn from in the shape of Liverpool‘s Luis Suarez and Daniel Sturridge.

The 19-year-old England international has been one of the Premier League’s top young players this season, establishing himself as a key figure in the Reds’ title push since the turn of 2014.

Although Suarez and Sturridge – dubbed the ‘SAS’ – have been grabbing many of the headlines, Sterling himself has been just as playing just as impressively, and looks set to make the Three Lions’ World Cup squad.

He was also named as Liverpool’s Young Player of the Year, and paid tribute to his attacking team-mates for their influence on his game:

“It means a lot to me. I give credit to the other lads, they’ve been great this season as well, but this is a real massive achievement for me.” He is quoted by the Daily Star.

“This year has been a real learning curve for me; not being in the squad at the start of the season and having to wait for my chance.

“There are not too many better players to learn off than Luis [Suarez] and Daniel [Sturridge].”

Sterling has netted nine goals in 32 Premier League outings this term and weighed in with a further five assists.
