An acrimonious departure for the one-time terrace favourite this summer should mean that the Argie skipper won’t be too welcome around Anfield any time soon. After going on strike ahead of an away trip to Man City earlier this season in an attempt to force through a move to Catalan giants Barcelona, Mascherano showed a flagrant disregard for the club, his team mates and the supporters. The recent comments from him advocating Torres’s move to Chelsea along with a serious re-writing of history hardly help his cause.
