Signed for £2m from Bundesliga outfit Karlsruher in 1998. Dundee famously declared in an interview that stated that he was as fast as Michael Owen, but after 3 anonymous substitute appearances, the player looking anything but threatening on the deck or in the air. He swiftly departed for £1m back to Germany with Stuttgart the following season and Dundee’s name is now synonymous with the word flop around Merseyside. He wasn’t even that quick either – not only was he a poor player, but he was a downright fibber to boot.
