Speculation over the future of Liverpool striker Luis Suarez has resurfaced, after it was revealed the forward did not make the cover of next year’s club calendar or annual, reports the Daily Mirror.

Despite being the Reds’ best player for the past two years, Suarez does not feature on the club’s calendar, desktop calender, or the cover of the Reds’ 2014 official annual.

Instead, the cover spots are reserved for Steven Gerrard, Phillipe Coutinho, Glen Johnson, Simon Mignolet, Daniel Agger and Daniel Sturridge.

The snub has got people speculating that Suarez may not be at Liverpool long into the New Year, despite the player himself, club captain Steven Gerrard, and manager Brendan Rodgers revealing the player would be staying until the summer at least.

Suarez was heavily linked with a move away from Anfield in the summer, with Arsenal making an offer of £40million and £1 for his services.

The summer long saga resulted with Liverpool digging their heels in, and the Uruguayan forward agreeing to stay at Anfield, although failure to qualify for Champions League football this season will likely see the striker depart in the summer.

Arsenal remain interested, while Spanish giants Real Madrid have also been linked.

Suarez failed to score yesterday in the lone striker role, as the Reds slipped to a shock 3-1 defeat to Hull City.

Suarez will likely play as a lone forward for some time, with Brendan Rodgers revealing yesterday that Daniel Sturridge could miss as much as two months of the season with an injury.
