Iago Aspas may hardly be a household name in England, but the Celta Vigo striker has risen to prominence of late in La Liga and could well be another Michu.
Aspas scored 23 goals in the Spanish second division last season, and this year has netted eight times in the top-flight for Celta Vigo.
Nothing too amazing perhaps, but the 25-year-old has an £8million buyout clause in his contract which has heightened interest from a number of clubs across Europe.
He may not be a world -beater, but the lesser teams in La Liga have been a hotbed for sourcing Premier League talent over the past few seasons, and Aspas’ move to Anfield could continue that trend.
