Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers has already made it clear he’ll be as active as possible in the current transfer window. His pursuit of FC Basel’s Mohamed Salah is well known, and the Anfield gaffer is also expected to make depth-providing additions to his strikeforce and midfield.

Many will be expecting the Ulsterman to follow up on last year’s January escapades, where he secured the services of Daniel Sturridge and Philippe Coutinho for a combined £20million.
