What a crazy half-season it’s been in the Premier League. Arsenal forked out £42million on a single player and are now top of the league, Everton have come on leaps and bounds since the departure of David Moyes, whilst Manchester United have continually struggled with the Scot at the helm, Tottenham can’t break into the top four despite trumping their record transfer fee three times in the same window and Luis Suarez has scored more goals in 14 games than seven clubs have in 19 games.

It’s been mad, unpredictable, intoxicating in its excitement, but would mean absolutely nothing if we had nothing to learn from it.
