Liverpool look set for another summer of uncertainty surrounding Luis Suarez, with El Confidential reporting that Real Madrid are planning a £90m offer for the striker.

The Reds forward was heavily linked with the Spanish giants last year, and made his desire to move to the Bernabeu very clear in a series of interviews throughout the transfer window.

Liverpool opted to hold firm and keep their man, who has gone on to score 30 Premier League goals this term and put the Merseyside club on the verge of a first title in 24 years.

During this time Suarez has penned a new mega money contract, which makes him the highest paid player in their history.

Yet this has not prevented speculation that Real are still keen on him.

Reports suggest that the player’s agent, Pere Guardiola, has offered Suarez to Los Blancos on several occasions, and that Carlo Ancelotti’s desire to get a top class centre-forward will be enough to put the wheels in motion to launch a world-record £90m swoop.

However it remains to be seen as to whether or not the Uruguayan will be on the lookout for a move after admitting that he is keen to play Champions League football – now a guarantee for Liverpool – at Anfield.
