Striker could leave Liverpool FC
Liverpool striker Luiz Suarez has shed doubt on whether he is likely to stay at Anfield past this season.
Suarez has always spoke of his love for Liverpool FC but he recently hinted that he may want to engineer a move out of the club in the summer if they fail to qualify for the Champions League. He is in fantastic form at the moment and admits that it is a dream of his to play in Europe.
According to The Mirror, Suarez insists that for the moment he and his family are happy at the Merseyside club, but admits that Liverpool aren’t “the team they once were” after a dip in form. The Uruguayan does however, feel the Reds can move past that this season with new manager Rodgers.
“The only thing missing is to have more positive results so we can finish in a Champions League spot. We would like to qualify for the Champions League if possible. We are young and growing as a team and when the players mature, we will be stronger,” he said.
“Yes, we should talk this June or the next one, in 2014. My contract ends in 2018.
With clubs like Bayern Munich, Real Madrid and Juventus interested in the 25 year-old star, Liverpool have to qualify to guarantee Suarez will stay.
