Michu (Swansea City)Swansea forward Michu has played down talk of a January move to Liverpool.

The Spaniard has been a big hit since his arrival in the Premier League last year, immediately becoming one of the division’s most feared attacking players.

His impressive form has seen rumours surrounding his future circulate for some time, with England’s top club sides thought to be watching him closely.

Liverpool have recently emerged as potential candidates to make January moves for the 27-year-old, who made his full international debut last week.

Despite clubs of such stature being interested in his services, Michu claims that he is perfectly happy with the Swans and isn’t considering leaving the Liberty Stadium.

“I’m not thinking about that right now,” Michu told The Express.

“I’m very happy at Swansea. It’s a small club, but we’re in Europe and have already won a trophy, the first in the club’s history.”

Swansea have frequently stated their intention to keep Michu at the club.

Manager Michael Laudrup – who signed the silky forward for just £2m from Rayo Vallecano – has slapped a £30m valuation on his head in a bid to scare off potential suitors.

Arsenal are also thought to be keen.

Does Michu deserve a big move?
