Paul Konchesky is loathed by Liverpool fans, and regarded by many as their worst ever signing.
He was brought from Fulham to Anfield with former Cottagers boss Roy Hodgson, but his Liverpool career only lasted a matter of months, making just 15 appearances.
The former England international became a scapegoat for Hodgson’s inability to get results at Anfield, but it also became abundantly clear that the left-back quite simply was not the quality of footballer required for a European club.
He was initially bought for £4million, and then sold just a season later, having spent six months on loan to Nottingham Forest for just £1.5million.
Getting your mum involved would hardly help however, and upon his departure from Anfield, Mrs Konchesky wrote on her facebook page: “To all you Liverpool Scouse scum, take a real look at your team. Stop living in the past. The team are crap. Never should have left Fulham.”
The last two statements may well have been true, but the phrase “scouse scum” is completely unacceptable.
