Fresh from a £20million summer move from Benfica, Liverpool winger Lazar Markovic was eager to make his mark for his new club early onion pre-season.

In his first match with the Premier League club, a friendly against Olympiakos in Chicago, Markovic had a great chance to do just that.

After playing the advantage near the edge of the box, the Serbian was through on goal to the right of the keeper. Markovic tried to bend the ball around him… but instead he sent it sailing high and wide over the cross bar.

To add insult to injury, the attempt struck a security guard om the head. It’s safe to say Liverpool fans everywhere hope he does better when the news season starts in a few weeks times.

i think the writer of this garbage is an idiot. Does he know how windy it was and all players try speculative shots, some come off some don’t?
