Yevhen Konoplyanka showed why he was attracting Premier League interest in the summer after an attractive display against Spurs in the Europa League.

Liverpool made a bit of a hash of things when they tried tempting him to Anfield on deadline day in January, and they’ll wish they managed to secure a deal with this Ukrainian wizard after watching him single handledly see off Tottenham in the Europa League…

Not only did the Ukrainian international score a wonderfully crafted penalty against the North London club, but he took a moment out to fool Tottenham’s stand-in right-back Kyle Naughton.

Tottenham’s Kyle Walker will share the pain of his former Sheffield United team-mate, as the right-back also struggled against the Liverpool target during England’s draw with Ukraine last year.
