Balotelli and Mancini in training ground bust up
The incident which took place during Manchester City’s training session was said to have come about after a challenge from Balotelli on teammate Scott Sinclair, which saw Mancini order the striker to go back to the dressing room, to which he refused.
The pair were then seen exchanging heated words before Mancini grabbed Balotelli in an attempt to move him off the pitch, with Balotelli appearing to shove Mancini back before they were eventually seperated by coaches Brian Kidd and Massimo Battara.
Mancini has since played down the clash after being quoted today by the Guardian as saying:
“We were playing a game and Mario kicked his teammate.”
“I said to him, ‘Go inside, leave the pitch’. He said no and I took his shirt and pushed him out of the pitch.”
“This is what really happened, nothing special.”
This isn’t the first time the Italian striker has been involved in clashes with members of his own team, after previous altercations on the training ground with Micah Richards as well as Jerome Boateng when he was at the club.
It has been a shaky season both on and off the pitch so far for Balotelli, and now Mancini who is usually quick to defend the striker, looks to be losing patience with him himself.
