Carlos Tevez confident of City qualification
The Citizens must beat La Liga champions Real Madrid this evening to have any chance of booking a spot in the final 16, following a forgettable European campaign so far.
Despite the challenge ahead, Tevez is confident that his side will progress:
“The players are all convinced it is still possible.” He is quoted by SkySports.
“As long as it is still mathematically possible, why not?
“As long as we go out determined to win the last two games, it is just a case of seeing how the other results turn out.”
The Argentine is not guaranteed a place in the starting XI for the visit of Real, but he insists that he will do his very best to help the team, whether that is from the kick-off or the bench:
“It is all about the team working together as a whole.
“I wouldn’t want to put added pressure on myself to think I am going to make the difference.
“It is all about working together and if we really want to take this game forward and grab it by the scruff of the neck, it has got to be a group effort.”
