Scott Sinclair has revealed that he will look to leave Manchester City unless he plays more regularly this season.

The 25-year-old joined the Premier League champions two years ago after emerging as one of the top tier’s most exciting wingers with Swansea.

However he has since registered little impact at the Etihad Stadium, making three starts in the league during his debut campaign before spending last term on loan at West Brom – which proved to be a relatively unsuccessful spell.

Despite his lack of action there are rumoured to be a few clubs tracking the former England U-21 international, and he says that he will give leaving City serious consideration if he is not given more first-team opportunities by Manuel Pellegrini:

“Personally I’m just looking to play as many games as possible – I don’t know what the future holds,” he is quoted by talkSPORT.

“If the manager is going to give me game time, then I would love to stay. But if that’s not the case I’m sure I’ll have to go elsewhere and to play more.

“I’m just taking every game as it comes. I’ve played a lot in pre-season so hopefully that continues.”

Sinclair faces much competition for a starting berth at City, with the likes of Jesus Navas, Samir Nasri, David Silva and James Milner all ahead of him in the running for a position on either flank.
