Corriere dello Sport.

The Serie A champions are thought to be keen to bolster their squad in the coming months in a bid to win a third successive league title.

Manager Antonio Conte has outlined Kolarov as one of his top targets, and believes that the Serbian could add another dimension to his much-praised 3-5-2 system.

The 27-year-old moved to the Etihad Stadium from Lazio in 2010 with a reputation as one of the finest defenders in European football.

However, he has struggled to adapt to the rigours of Premier League football, and was frequently dropped by former Sky Blues coach Roberto Mancini favour of Gael Clichy last term.

Despite his woes, his reputation remains relatively undamaged in Italy, which is believed to have tempted Juve into offering him an escape route.

City themselves could be keen to sell, with a major squad rebuild expected after the loss of the championship crown to local rivals Manchester United.

In order to invest heavily, City will have to offload a few high-earning players to free up funds and space, which could ease a potential exit for the full-back.
